Hi,

I don't have an extensive Bio or life history to share - quite frankly my
head's too full to remember much of where I've been or what I've done!

Wish I could say it was due to concerted implementation of zen philosophy,
but really its just mental exhaustion. The world has too many teeth and
not enough full stomachs for my comfort.

What I am is a mid-thirties single mum, so I'm over qualified in every
aspect of management you could imagine ;-)

...and not enough time.

As I said I'm a poet - I have an over-developed listening ear for the
state of the world and the human condition.

I know it's bad. I know we're staring down a black hole with our eyes
shut.

I also know it's incredibly good. We have the best of the best and the
worst of the worst of human qualities entwined... dependant on the stories
we create; on what we imagine; on what we hold in our hearts.

This is why the cc project matters - I don't join things for the sake of
joining!

This is nothing less than a battle for the fate of humanity and of the
earth.

Sorry, but when I hear the economic system won't accommodate change that
reduces its power, it makes no sense to me. Sorry Tim, but I literally
don't understand what you're saying.  (Go to what Tim said)  Whose power is it?    Ours!

Economies are a consequence of life - not a cause.

No life = no economy

Even if you imagine Economy as a parasite (and that's very much the
distortion our global policies have created), it's a foolish, not to
mention dead, parasite that kills its own host.

I would like to share a thought (thanks, Frances) that I like, that
summarises cc for me:

"A person of courage today is a person of peace. The courage we need is to
refuse authority and to accept only personally responsible decisions. Like
war, growth at any cost is an outmoded and discredited concept. It is our
lives which are being laid to waste. What is worse, it is our children's
world which is being destroyed. It is therefore our only possible decision
to withold all support for destructive systems, and to cease to invest our
lives in our own annihilation."

                                     - Bill Mollison

The more we focus on what we don't want the stronger it gets, the same for
what we want - hold courage in your vision and watch it emerge!

Cheers,
Della
