About the BES Advisory Network

The role of the advisory network is to propose, comment on and debate detailed proposals for the theme. An action team will make the final decisions and make sure that they are carried out.

Given the global scope of the network, communications will be by email/web and the language used will be English.

We are looking for more advisers for the network. Ideally we would like to have at least one person from every country / economy in the world. We would like to involve everyone who is playing a crucial role in helping firms engage in creation of an ecologically sustainable economy - practitioners / managers / intellectuals / researchers / popularisers / strategists / policy makers. If you can think of anyone who is a "must have" for the network please tell us (send their name, organisation if relevant, email address, the country they are from, their role and the rationale for suggesting them). Self nominations are most acceptable as well.

Please contact Philip Sutton with any proposals for advisers:

Current members of the BES Advisory Network

We are seeking advice on the following issues

Even if you are not a member of the Advisory network we would value you advice on the following issues.  Could you consider the issues from the perspective of a sustainability-promoting firm and/or the perspective of catalyst organisation that tries to encourage forms to be sustainability-promoting.
Question 1 If you had access to hundreds of knowledgeable people across the globe over a twelve month period what issues would you like them to consider - that are not being dealt with adequately through other forums? In other words, what is the added value that this electronic conference should try to create?
Question 2 What 'hidden' knowledge needs to be brought to the attention of business and business catalysts?
Question 3 What knowledge, that may be well known in some areas, needs to be shared more widely across the globe?  Where is this knowledge needed?
Question 4 What new knowledge needs to be developed if we are to rapidly create a sustainable economy? What crucial blockages are caused by a lack of knowledge?
