Volunteers tasks
Some general tasks are:
-
encouraging others to participate
-
presenting papers
-
holding workshops
-
running the field trip associated with the physical conference in July 2000
in Canberra
-
organising debates
-
building the contact database
-
doing general organising work
-
providing advice on the structure and content of the program - through the
Advisory Network.
Some specific tasks have been identified where volunteers could make a valuable
contribution:
-
attract volunteers, advisors, partners and sponsors
-
build up the organising team
-
build up the contact database and the software shell
-
encourage registrations
-
organise the pre-physical conference on-line seminars
-
seek papers for the physical conference
-
seek participation to shape the open format sessions at the physical conference
-
plan and organise the electronic conference elements that occur after the
physical conference
-
develop the BES theme web site - especially the resources page.
